A new wine for us here at Damsel, this bright, light variety is farmed at family-owned and operated, Knox Road Vineyard. We ferment these big beauties cool, in stainless steel. Picking early with the sugars a bit lower allows for lower alcohol and maintains a great, food-friendly acidity that the variety is known for. Aromas of Italian plum, ripe strawberry and black tea leaves float from the glass at your first visit. Flavors of raspberry fruit leather, rhubarb and a hint of clove are carried across the palate, light-bodied and low tannin structure allow for the juicy, youthful profile of this gem to shine.
