2022 Damsel Cellars Boushey Vineyard Syrah

100% Syrah, Boushey Vineyard, Yakima Valley AVA

A gorgeous wine with all the features we love about this bottle. As usual, the wine can use a bit of a breather when you first open it and will always benefit from decanting. On the nose, the savory, meaty aspect of the Boushey Vineyard appears braced by black fruit,  surrounded by black tea leaf.  Her presence on the palate is juicy with a full and expressive weight showing bursts of warm black plum, ripe blackberry with hints of savory, briny olive. A lingering finish with a lift of acidity on the finish, the bottle is perfect to pop with triple crème and soft cheeses, slow-braised osso buco or Mari’s favorite, roasted mushroom risotto with pecorino.
