2022 Damsel Cellars Boushey Vineyard Cabernet Franc

Being both single vineyard and mono varietal, this is a wine that showcases the power of single status. This is a confident wine that doesn’t rely on anything else other than its own expression. The aromatics lead with fresh red plum, currants and ripe raspberries and then gives way to light floral notes of lily, herby winter thyme and dried sage. The palate is dominated by sweet red fruit, dried savory herb and a hint of sweet tobacco. It has a broad presence with persistent, yet refined, tannins that have an extended finish and a light acidic lift at the back of the palate. A delightful companion to almost any food you could prepare.This is a wine that is approachable in its youth, but will be happy to age gracefully over a handful of years.
